Hey RPF!
I wrapped a short film recently that I was the cinematographer on.

It’s now an official entry in the Danny Elfman Project for the LA Film Festival. Mr. Elfman graciously donated music for our soundtrack.

We’re trying to raise awareness into the growing opioid addiction crisis.

Please check it out, if you like it, we could use your support as the contest is both juried and crowd vote dependent. Likes and shares to Facebook are really helpful to our cause.

Thank you very much.
Ben

Very nice little film that underscores the sadness of addiction. Your cinematography was beautiful!

Very good. What did your lighting kit consist of? What'd you shoot on (camera, lenses)?

Thank you for the compliments and the view.

I shot it on the RED Helium with a RED zoom almost entirely on a Gravity gimbal rig. The Helium sensor allowed me to use just some LED light panels here and there but mostly, it was some well chosen locations for the available lighting. Tracking the sun in each location was a challenge during the day.

We had to stay small most of the time due to permitting rules.

Heh heh, I wish I could say I owned it but it was a rental. I went 6K Widescreen and posted to a 4K timeline. One day I hope we all have 8K TVs!

Wow! Vincent D'Onofrio tweeted about our short film after viewing it at the Indi.com website! So amazing!

We're in the last hours of the "buzz round", thanks for any views and shares you guys have contributed to our cause. The whole thing wraps up tonight at 8PM so if you like it, please like and continue to share the film's link.

If you navigate to the contest site and click the share button there, it increases our "buzz" and helps to boost our chances of placing in the top 5! Thanks again to all.
