Alien Auto Destruct

If you google "nostromo self destruct" there are some pretty good screen caps. Sorry id liink but im on my phone. Apparently some of them are hindu?

Yeah, I think so. The symbols are random – arrows & lines & registration marks, the phrases refer to ... transcendental meditation & stuff like that, IIRC.
 
All Letraset symbols and stuff that the prop dept. made real fast (no freeze-frame in those time:D) I think that Pro-Mod had started one full repro of that prop...a long time ago.
 
Info Auto Destruct

Guys I need some info

In Alien when Ripley pulls down the 2 levers to activate the lid to pop up on the Auto Destruct.

What are the words across the top of the lid? You can see something as the light bounces of the lid.

Is that a real model or a CG model? Best example I've seen of the symbols. The first 2 images are grainy shots of the prop before film production.
I've been working on a model in Cinema4D (3rd image) of the entire panel, taking some time trying to make out all the symbols.
