CYBERMAN - Can you use coldcast on foam?

Hello everyone! I am working on making my own Cyberman suit for a series and was thinking of the best way to achieve the aluminium finish on the cheap. On the show they used cold cast aluminium and fiberglass and I have been trying to think of the best way I could do it using similar techniques. I wanted to know if it would work to create the suit with foam and then mix cold cast with resin and coat the armor pieces, then buff it with steel wool?

Alternative methods welcome

To get a good cold-cast finish, you need to not only mix the metal powder in with the resin, but it needs to be coating the entire surface, which is why it usually is spread over the whole inside of the silicone/rubber mold. I doubt you'd get a very metallic look just pouring the metal-infused resin over the foam.

The look on the cybermen seems to be one you could get with a good rattle can chrome.
