1:1...ish WOW Hearthstone (battleworn)

Here is my rendition of the Hearthstone from World of Warcraft, done in Monster Clay Regular: Medium Grade. It's battle damaged and even has tick marks to show hearthing out of Raids! Hope you like it, the dimpling is a bit rough right now because this is pre-smoothing with Mineral Spirits.

That hs looks really cool. I always wondered what size it should be. Always imagined it bigger for some odd reason. But that scale looks nice!

Well,
latest
is about the ONLY image I can find and dwarves generally have bigger hands than humans, so I think the scale is pretty much as close to 1:1 as possible :) and I always imagined that the hearthstones were kept in a leather pouch on a belt for quick access, which is why the damage on the ends, from dropping etc ^_^

Indeed, looks about right. Got it painted yet? Or are you gonna mold it first?

I'm pretty broke at the moment and this is literally my second sculpt ever so I'm gonna use this as my entry into molds and casting when I have the money...got a birthday coming up and been dropping hints to everyone I know lmao. But yeah, I'm gonna mold it, maybe do a run if it comes out well, figure some people might like to have a HS. And the way it's sculpted if someone wanted one not battle worn it wouldn't be hard to make it pristine, not that the project is super hard to begin with. I used Monster Clay Regular Grade (Medium) for the sculpt over some Alum. Foil filler.

That looks great. Yeah like you I always picture it a little bigger. I thought the Megabloks small set containers were about the right size for what they would be. Everything in WOW tends to be slightly cartoonishly oversized.
