So I've been eyeballing this costume for a while but it wasn't until I saw the new movie that I decided it needed to be done. I'm planning to use mostly EVA foam and craft foam in the construction process covered with mod podge and plasti dip
First I started on the upper arms basic shape.
I took a dremel to the edges to round them out a bit and give them more of an organic feel.
Here's the lower arms, the hand pieces and, the back pieces. The details on the lower arms and hands are done with hot glue. Hopefully the paint and stuff will keep that from melting when I wear it to Colossalcon. The back pieces are each one solid piece. I carved the shape out with a dremel.
The ab plates are currently in progress. I'll post those later today probably. Still fighring out ho to do the pelvic region and I have a general idea of how to do the lower back. I'm really excited about this guys.
