Matt Smith Tardis

Hi RPFers,
I just joined the site after a long time looking at some fantastic work.
I have recently completed a Tardis Project for my son who is a fanatical Dr Who fan.
So as you can't buy one of these, I thought I would turn my hand to trying to make him a Matt Smith Tardis for him to play with his collection of 5" Dr Who figures.
I hope you like the pictures, there are a lot more, especially about the build, so if you like it let me know.
If you would like to see the build pictures, again let me know and I will post.

But for now...

This is incredible work!! You must do a build thread...how you did this!! If I had this in my house my kids would only be allowed to play with it with dad. Unbelievable work! What a way to join the forum. Welcome good sir!

Hi RPFers,
Guys I am touched by your responses, I am so pleased that you liked my efforts and thank all of you for your kind words.
In short and to answer a few points made;
@ Miker ; Playing with Dad is a good excuse for me to let that big kid out of the box, so is mandatory!
@ Somerset ; It fits in the back of my car so hopefully it stands a chance of fitting inside a Police Box, but I suppose we could try!
@ausf ; Yep it really is bigger on the inside for sure!
Given the positive responses I will definitely be posting further detail pictures and a better video.
Also, as it has been requested I will put together a build thread detailing the various stages and blueprint/drawings I used to create templates during the construction from the various reference sources in case they may be of help to anyone on here.
On a separate note and as mentioned in my introduction to the site, as my son is such a fanatical Dr Who fan, I have made him other items as well.
Which given the positive response so far, may be of interest to others members on here.
Just to name a few I have also made my son a selection of working Sonic Screwdrivers, a 1/2 size Remote Control K9, a Pandorica for his 5" figures with sliding doors and a full size Junkyard Tardis Console from the episode " The Doctor's Wife".
So keep your eyes peeled as I will of course be posting these as separate threads.
Thank you all once again for your positive responses, they are greatly appreciated.

Hi RPFers,
Just a quickie to let you know that as I had proposed and had been requested I have started a retrospective build thread on this Tardis project.
I will endeavour to post the complete project in 1 or 2 sections a week, time allowing with attached pictures and videos of the build.

The new thread Scratch Built Doctor Who Matt Smith Tardis Interior can be found here http://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=276306.

I will however post more pictures of the completed project on this thread, as well as a revised more detailed video at a later date.
Once again, many thanks for your interest and kind words, they are appreciated.

Hi Dave,
Thank you for your comment, pleased you like it and thank you for looking at the build thread.
I will be adding more shortly and over the following weeks. I have lots of construction pictures to share as the project took me 2 years to complete working on it part time.
But as this is my first post and build, I am trying to reign back on too much, in case it gets boring for people.
None the less onwards and upwards, SO DON'T BLINK, ALLONS-Y, oh wait that's the wrong Doctor, but one things for sure " I am definitely a mad man with a box"!

Catch you later,
Rob.
