I am a long time miniature painter. While I do collect props I have never really tried to make one. Threw Tested I was introduced to the book series SM.01. This book teaches a technique of weathering for model vehicles. I was scared to try this tech on my actual model tanks so i thought that as a test I would 3D print a prop and try it out. Here is my result. This is 13 layers of paint with hair spray in between and 2 colors of a final wash. Except for the wash the paint was applied by air brush and then weathered with a hand brush. 17553548_890856584922_5544494914225105300_n.jpg17554136_890856579932_2726700330798153078_n.jpg17626574_890856574942_4104674778505979718_n.jpg

Nice!

Out of curiosity, what's going on with the strip down the front of the top part? Did it print poorly on the left side, or did you deliberately distress it?
