Did anyone see the 5 Foot Studio scale build at Celebration?

It was built by Lee Malone

Starwars.com had their celebration stream yesterday and the IGN guy did a nice interview with him. Nice looking model. They have all the streams on youtube.

No kidding!!:behave This guy should conduct the interview with his other hand in his pocket for the love of...Great model, btw. Love everything about it:cool

I saw the Falcon in person at SWCO - it was incredible. His attention to detail was amazing. The paint job was first rate. His booth was always swamped with people taking photos. Does anyone know what he's building next?

ILM people also were loving it, John Knoll stopped by and was really into it. Another retired ILM employee was there for a long time with it as well. Lee did an spectacular job and that was one of the best parts of Celebration Orlando.

That's amazing work, amazing! YES put a velvet rope ring around that thing!! hahah or its really gonna look like the current SS model!!

Does anyone know if he documented his build anywhere accept Facebook? I would love to see it. I hate FB so hard to navigate.

This is beautiful, just beautiful. I wonder how long something like that takes to build?

I was looking at his web page and i see that he was also responsible for the 44" Eagles that were being sold a couple of years ago.

From the interview posted it look like it took 3000 hours to build. At the booth he said that he had been collecting vintage model parts for the last 3 years and that he had spent the last 10 months full time building it so that it would be ready for Star Wars Celebration.
