Newbie questions on foam armor building

Hey all,

This is my first attempt at a foam armor build, and I have a few questions

1- the armor is glued with contact cement, some of the seems are a bit messy. I was wondering how could I clean up those seems?

2-I am afraid that some of the seems might show when it is painted. How would I go about masking/hiding those seems?

3-It is said that I have to heat seal the foam before painting and also that I need to seal the foam. What would be the different methods of sealing the foam and the pros and cons of each methods?

4-What type of paint should I use on the armor?
