Metallic Casting Methods?

Hey Guys and Gals,

I am trying to cast an R2 dome out of urethane resin and was wondering what the best way to make the dome metallic was. Would it be better to paint the smooth-cast with chrome spray paints, or maybe even do a sandwiching method with the paint and resins. By this, I mean, you could use a thin layer of clear epoxy resin on the outside of the casting as a protective layer, then spray paint the inside of the clear epoxy silver, then fill the rest of the mold with black resin? I know this method is probably never going to work but i need to find an answer soon. I’m desperate lol.

You could dust the mold with aluminum powder then add black tinted resin
