Wolverine square Enix style armor

So I've wanted to do a wolverine style armor for quite some time now. I saw Logan and it just made me want to make one even more. Then Square Enix debut there variant and it was, in my opinion almost perfect.

So I started about two weeks ago and it's a slow process because I don't have a lot of spare time but wanted to show what I have so far.

I started by getting as many reference pictures I could find. There's no really good shot of his lower back but I'll continue to look. Here is a few I have so far.

I want to try and make it as close to the armor as I can. Here is the progress on the chest so far.

I'll try and post the back once I get it to a good point. Thanks for looking

Thanks everyone, it was a busy weekend but I did manage to get the majority of the back finished.

It's still a lot of clean up to do. I tried a new technique on the top back arches and it didn't work out like I had hoped. So I scrapped the idea and sanded it down. I still need to do a bit more sanding to smooth out the arches then add in the final little details on the lower back and then I can start the shoulders. I'll post a few progress pictures of the back below. Thanks for looking.

Not sure if you can tell but I did some sanding and clean up tonight of the back braces. There pretty smooth now and once it's sealed and painted you'll never be able to tell I screwed up lol.
Anyway, I started on the first shoulder bracket, really excited for the shoulders of this armor, I love the way they look. Still a few minor details to add on the back, but waiting until I get the front attached with the shoulders.

I managed to finish the second shoulder piece.and was able to try the armor on. Very happy with it so far. I just use masking tape to attach it for the moment.

Finished the underarm straps of the armor. Strapping this thing is going to be fun that's for sure. But it's getting much more snug and feels like an almost complete chest armor. All that's left to do is the ab section and then the small rivet detail. Here are some pictures of the armor before and after I added the underarm as well as a mock up of one of the abs.
