Looking for a material to help mod a urethane casting?

Hello Everyone,

I am new to the rpf and prop making, and I had a quick question. My friend has a helmet that he wants me to modify. Its a urethane casting, and I am not sure what will stick to the casting weather it needs to be epoxy clay, bondo, or fiberglass im not sure i havent ever really messed with it. He wants to cut it and extend it and also just add extra elements to it. Thank you for your time and input.
