I built the Enterprise from hardware store parts

Hi! I made another thing. This time, it's a starship.

The overall dimensions are accurate, the tiny details....not so much.

It's 70cm long, and 30cm wide. No lights, no moving parts.

It was a load of fun to build.

I've written a bit of a description of the build process here: http://www.colonpipe.com/builds/how-i-made-the-enterprise-out-of-stuff-from-the-hardware-store

Thoughts appreciated. Be gentle. This thing was made from plumbing.

Thank you! It was a fun project. Considering trying something a bit more ambitious next. Same kind of approach, but a crazier thing.

I totally recommend making something silly every so often!

Allow me to address something obvious: They look ridiculous. The reason for this is that I had hoped they would not look ridiculous, and my hope failed me.

:lol

Your writing is hilarious! And great build too!

Groovy. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in making sure everything is as detailed/screen accurate that we forget to have fun and just build something. Awesome job.
