Harley Quinn pop gun - mold making questions and build

I finally have time to make a mold for casting. My completed piece. Has anybody done a 3 piece mold for a large barrel like this? I am not sure how to make the plug that makes the inside of the barrel.

When we did ours, we did a two part mold with a hole for resin at the bottom of the grip. The only issue would be the hammer, and you could put the hole at the hammer and pour a few smaller amounts of resin, turning the mold so it fills at higher segments.
