I didn't see a thread on this yet anywhere on the boards.

Very cool exhibit! Definitely recommend it if your anywhere near Denver, CO. It will run until April 2nd.

I'll fill up the next few post with some of the pictures I took with my phone. I might be going back again with a better camera, so if there is anything you are wanting more detailed pics of let me know.

It was amazing seeing so many of the original costumes, however my favorite thing was seeing some of Ralph McQuarrie's original paintings. So very detailed and surprisingly small in real life! Iain McCaig had some great stuff in there as well.

Anyways, without further adieu . . .

These photos are great! Was unaware there were any McQuarrie paintings there - can't wait to see those.

I am very fortunate that this will be coming to Cincinnati in May, and am happy to hear it is such a good exhibit. I already bought my tickets and am patiently waiting!

Man, great pictures ,many thanks for sharing. If you going back I would love to see better shots of the Y-Wing helmets with the Bat and the orange stripes.

My friend also went and she got complimentary photos- especially of details of costumes!

But more than that the patterns laid out show how we in the commonwealth have to be able to use metric and empirical measurements ;) The fabric labeled as 44" and the length 6meters!

BTW, this is the kind of note scrawl you need need to put on patterns! Especailly notes about how to counter the physical properties of different fabrics.

Ignore the Flame Gown sketch in the upper RHS it is not for that gown. But Cynthia got great details of the weirdness of the Flame Gown sleeves:

The sleeve makes a 3D diamond shape which is seriously cool.

These are awesome! I'd love to see a whole set of close ups on Luke's robot hand. Thanks for posting these.

thank you! didn't know the pen caps for the food capsules were yellow underneath!
also, that Qui-Gon saber is one of the originals, the steel emitter plate did rust. the Obi Wan and Maul lightsabers are strange..
