X Wing Wingless Hybrid

Ok, it's not really a hybrid and it still has some of it's wings, but I thought it kind of looked like a cool star ship without some of it's wings :D

I was doing a bit of maintenance and it's getting repainted soon and I noticed it kind of works without upper of lower wings. A different look, just goes to show how sweet the X wing design really is without all it's wings it still looks pretty cool.;)

Now we know where the E-Wing came from: they were building an X-Wing kit for the movie and dropped it so it only had 2 wings left lol. Love the paint job, I never have luck with chipped paint when I try it.

Wes, try liquid mask and salt, you'll be amazed at the paint chip detail that can be had.

Neat looking model btw!

I was about to say the same thing.

Me too.

Salt masking works better than liquid in my experience. I used the MicroMark liquid mask on an ERTL Slave I, this was probably around TPM time and it stuck. I had to careful pry it up with a knife blade. For the salt, just make sure you get smaller grain salt for smaller scale. I used popcorn salt on my 1/72 FM X-Wing.

Seeing the OP, I'm thinking some configuration like that would make a cool Ugly fighter.

We used liquid mask on most of the disney models.
