In addition to a Metrokab, I'm happy to share news and some photos of an ongoing build of a Randy Cooper Spinner with the light kit from Voodoofx. The Kab is being built by a model builder in WI while the Spinner is being built for me by none other than Randy Neubert himself. The builder in WI also assembled and painted Randy Cooper's Spinner figures. Here are a few photos showing the completed figures (with chopsticks added to Deckard) and ongoing construction of the Spinner.
I know it is 1/12 but I was wondering if they did build a 1/12 for the movie.
I'm aware of the 1/6 and I believe a smaller one has been done too but not sure of it's scale.
Is there an official list of how many models and what scales they have used for the Spinner Car?
If I remember well, there was a smaller Spinner (with the famous mounted gun on top) that was built(don't know the scale). Don't know if it was transformed and used either.
Smaller Spinner were produced to dress the top of the parking atop Tyrell's building also (smallest scaled Spinner for sure).
The first model spinner built was about 15" and was 1 inch to 1 foot scale. From what I can tell it was repainted twice and probably got more screen time than even the big model. Yes it had the laser cannon on top but also had many other differences from the full size cars and the 1/4 model including different lighting. Hoping to still get the Randy spinner one day btw!
Randy N. has completed his build of my Spinner and provided me these pictures and (previously) a video showing a test of a portion of his impressive light kit.
Looks great! Noticed that the light coloring on the rear side lights is off.... They had a yellow/red coloring rather than the white strip on the No.44 car.
LOL one of these days I'll finish the two I have in the works...
