Cracked clear parts - is there a fix?

I'm building a Bandai A-Wing and while cutting the canopy free of the sprue I managed to get some small cracks where it was connected. Is there a trick for fixing this? I thought about maybe dipping it in future or brushing on some thin Tamiya cement.

I tried tamiya glue on mine and it didn't help very much. It cleared up the white area a bit, but I still had to polish the canopy. The Future dip sounds like a better option. It certainly couldn't hurt to give it a try.

I've never found a good solution for damaged clear parts... except disguising it as battle damage. a well placed blaster burn can hide just about anything :)
