Rogue One: Rebel Pocket Pen Prop

In the movie I noticed that a number of rebels had these metal pen like things in there sleeve pocket. Does anyone know what these really are? Code cylinders come in many forms. Depends on which ones you are looking for. Many use old style chalk holders. Some are machined aluminum. Some are dosimeters.

The ones you stated look machined.

I was looking to see where I ordered my set from and Elvis Trooper is it! I made mine into stylus so I can use my cell phone without having to take my leather gloves off.

Just wanted to add:

There are three styles of dosimeters used in ANH. I think they used modern replicas for R1. It APPEARS to me that they use both the blue cap style, and plain top style. But the plain tops may just be an illusion from being a filmed at an angle where the blue top cannot be seen.

The Imperial officers carry them, of course, but Jyn carries one, and Cassian carries three on his parka.
