You may have seem my versions of the Kamar-Taj and Kaecilius sling rings already, and wondered why I hadn't posted pics of my Doctor Strange one yet. It is a lot more detailed and took some time to get some high res pics from the screen used costume and to make the model, but I'm ready to share with you all what I've been working on the last couple of weeks. I've been pouring over photos getting the details to be as accurate as possible. Some parts of the ring were obscured by the fabric holding it to his belt, so I had to take some leeway and creative control in some areas, but stayed true for the vast majority of the design. I'm certain this is very close to accurate.

I'll be making this the same way as I did the other two rings, 3D printed in stainless steel and bronze and then gold plating it. I'll also be printing it in high detailed resin and making a mold for a bronze casting. Judging by the color of the rings used, I'm sure bronze is the right material.

I just have some side details and finishing touches to do, but I'll have it ready by Monday.

I'm certainly going to make the mold of this one to cast it in bronze. I'm a huge fan of my Kamar Taj and Kaecilius ring in the gold plated stainless steel, but I know it'd be better in cast bronze and am going to make it for this one.

I think the pre-order price for these in cast bronze will be $90ish if we have good interest.

Interested depending on sizing options! Probably still will get one for my belt; but would love a wearable option too...just have the catch of having thin fingers.

I'll be doing it in three sizes. My other rings, the kamar taj and kaecilius rings are both available in three sizes now, 7.5, 10.5 and 13.5. They're also slightly adjustable so you'll be able to increase the ring size by a bit if you need. With the bronze cast ones, it'll be very adjustable because of the malleability of bronze.

Definately in for the bronze cast. I was in for the Kamar-Taj version but this is much higher on the list for me.

What I mean is do you sell just the files by themselves. I don't have $90 at my disposal, but I have a 3d printer.

If you want a plastic version of this, you can buy the plastic SLS 3D print, linked in the fifth post, for around $35. It'll be far more durable and better detail than the home FDM/SLA machines can produce. I'd sell the file for much more than $90 anyway since it represents many hours of work.

If he sold the 3D files then what would stop others from selling his work? or posting it publicly? Then he doesn't make a cent for his work and he cannot control what people do with it. Yeah, it is a prop from a movie, but it is still his work.

I'm saying that I would rather buy ONE COPY of the file, print it, and thats all. I didn't mean buying the entire ownership of the file.

My print should be here soon! I'm excited to get this mold made to get the prop done in cast bronze as it should be.

I can't sell one copy of the file. I can stream it to your printer if you have compatible firmware using a site like cgtrader but setting that up is extra work and it'd be cheaper to just get a plastic shapeways print that'd be higher quality anyway. It's not designed for fdm so it would come out bad anyway. It's not worth my effort nor your disappointment.
