Hi All
A client who is heavily into vikings wanted a Mjolnir replica, but one that was more 'traditional viking' rather than the marvel film version. So this is my take on that request:
I haven't got all WIP pics as this was a very quick turn around as he wants this in his 'man cave' .. frame work is basically hi-density foam core, covered in bondo with side panels of lower density foam & some 'viking style' dragons/knot that I sculpted/cast:
full hammer & panel detail
Once the build was complete, time to paint .... first coat ... shiny!!
Then carried on adding layers, damage, patina etc.. going for that rough forged metal look with a bit of embelishment (it is a hammer of a god after all!)
Hand't realised at the time how big this things was going to be. Considering the size and what it looks like it's not that heavy
Apologies for the quality of the photo's taken on my mobile. As always C&C's welcome.
Thanks
Taz
