Once the eye's finished and the open/close mechanism is working I'll cut it off the construction board and recess it back at an angle behind a painted faux door panel.

Thank you Gary. Do you mean the cyclops eye ? I have to admit I always found it a little disturbing !
 
Yes ,I mean the cyclops eye.It actually was a little disturbing the first time I saw it,but what a great prop !! By the by,Ian,the broadcast power transmitter is spot on !!

Built a spring loaded mechanism into the back of the eye ball today. Now you can mount it on any flat wall. Pull the chord and the eye opens just like it does in the show, let the chord go and it closes back up again. Both hilarious and creepy at the same time :lol

I remember the first time I saw it on the show and thought it looked delightfully creepy and yours gives me the same feeling.

:D I like that description. Oddly I always thought that this particular prop was a bit too silly and way out, even for the Avengers, and certainly not something Emma Peel would have had on her front door.

It took a long time but I eventually found a full length, complete MP3 recording of the this pleasant little song (2:58 Length). Unfortunately I don't think that I can post audio files here, So if anybody wanted it we must find another way.
