Kind of a 2 part thread. I recently made some thigh guards didn't measure twice like I should have and now my thigh armor is just about 2.5in too small in diameter. I was wondering if I cut them down on the inside of the legs, would attaching velcro or elastic straps work to get them to fit? If so what would be better? Velcro or Elastic Straps?

I would say elastic straps would be better because while Velcro has a good closure to it, it tends to come undone, or simply slip off, while elastic straps will hold tight and stay in one place.
