ESB Background "Pontoon" ship

Hello All,

Here is my attempt at the ESB background ship that looks like it had the LR232 on the back. I had a failed hull assembly from mine and decided to put it to good use. Aside from the screenshots, I couldn't find any reference. This is the best attempt with the lack of reference using donor parts from the same era as ESB. It is built on a wood frame. The pontoons are plastic cocktail cups joined with 3" PVC. The completed model is about 24" long.

Thanks!

Fun stuff!!!!
This wacky ship is on my ESB list to be built with all the leftovers one day :-D

Well done!

These are the builds I love to see. Pushing the envelope with the most challenging subjects. I love your interpretation!

Thanks Jason! After seeing the weathering job on your Death Star Crane though, it's inspired me to pop the pontoon off the wall and step up my weathering game on this! I went a little too quickly with this one.

Yes- As I try to learn kit ID's and try to do true studio scale, it is nice to sometimes jump in and play, "What Would ILM Do?".

I just threw up in my mouth seeing your wall display!!!! OMG SICK!!! SO awesome man. Love getting a better look at this background ship. It's like a large OT pod racer. (In a good way)

I Soo look up to you guys and your dedication!

I wish I could join your club... It makes my head hurt reading through some of these threads!

Soo much time hard work and dedication IDing and collecting these parts!!!
