I already posted on the introduction page but I figured I'd make a post that more will see.
Hello!
New guy here.
Little background about me:
I am a 28 year old ex-mechanic and HUGE nerd. I injured my back a few years ago and could no longer work on cars so I've been looking for something that could keep my hands busy. I'm not happy if I'm not building or making something.
I also went to art school for Visual Effects and Motion Graphics. I had to drop out with only 6 months to go do to financial reasons so I didn't get my degree but I still have a strong love for what I learned.
I work a soul sucking job in a call center and I am currently looking for a new career in the Graphic Design or even prop making.
This all leads me to finding a new passion, prop and collectible making. I'm fairly new at it but so far here are my creations.
The Futurama Planet express ship. My first ever resin mold that I first sculpted from sculptey then made a two part mold. I made some plain white casting that I will paint and a few that glow in the dark. I will be selling these if there is any interest.
Then here is my first EVA foam prop. A Dagger for my friends cosplay. Took me a few attempts but then I got it.
Harley Quinns Suicide Squad revolver made from an airsoft gun, plumbers putty and craft foam.
And the Bandit Queen pistol. My first actual commission from a company called Dire Wolf Digital. This is made from EVA foam, PVC pipe, copper pipe and some steel pipe/rod for weight.
