Hello everyone;
I have a quick update. I had a little time today before heading to a friends house for a New Year's Eve party, so I finished up buffing out the display base for my diorama.

Thank you you for looking and a very Happy New Year to all!

Hi James. Thank you for your interest in my project.
Prior to painting the MDF I sand the edges with a random orbital sander. Then I lightly hand sand the whole base with 200 grit sand paper in between coats of paint.

I had a little snow in my neck of the woods yesterday. After shoveling the driveway I took a little time to finish my project. I decided to put some felt on the bottom of the base so it doesn't mar the surface of what it will sit on. I purchased some felt form my local craft store and spray adhesive from Home Depot.

Then I affixed it to the bottom of the base.
