I recently purchased this kit to go along with the Imperial Knight Kit I plan on converting into a WW1 tank. I plan on putting these two into a diorama of a street battle scene. I really liked this kit it was easy to put together and very posable, but I plan on once find pose gluing the legs down. I want to have limited mobility on the kit just like the imperial knight. well here are some pictures, what you will see is it separated into some subassembly as well as not all put together to it's easy to paint. I plan on converting this into to a german tank it's almost halfway there I plan on using Rivets from here either 1.5 or 1.6 since they won't be too pronounced on the kit. I need some other things to fully convert it such as a tank hatch and a a machine gun. I also plan on purchasing WW2 tank barrels from here and sandbags and storage to place on this tank for more realism here. I plan on painting this model in a winter camo like this. Anyway enough talk picture time. If anyone seeing this has any experience trying to make something look like a WW2 tank or anything advice would be appreciated.

UPDATE TIME:
I didn't put this model together yet still waiting on the reacts, bolts, and nuts I ordered but besides that I am using the model masters oxidizing metal paint along w/ the rust activator to plaint the gun that lay on to bottom of the tomahawks missiles as well as the missiles itself. The final result of said use is:
2016-08-10 19.31.00.jpg2016-08-10 19.31.14.jpg2016-08-10 19.32.14.jpg2016-08-10 19.32.29.jpg
the precess I used to create this effect is first glossed blacked the pieces so the dry brushing of metal will sing. I dry brushed the guns silver as well as the sides of the missiles and dry brushed gold on top of the missiles for some contrast. Then I Dullcoted it and then painted the Oxidizing Metal paint w/ the rust actiavot in the recesses where the guns meet the plate as well as the bottom of the missiles after the desired effect I then dullcoted it to seal in the oxidized metal. This was my first test with them and I was very happy.

ALSO

The Barrel that I ordered to replace the tank barrel the kit came was which was a 72nd scale to my surprise was WAY TOO small (see picture) this sucks but livable and I will use the original barrel and just paint to look like a german tank barrel.

UPDATE TIME: so here are some pictures and i'll explain what I did
IMG_1638.jpgIMG_1637.jpgIMG_1636.jpgIMG_1639.jpgIMG_1640.jpgIMG_1641.jpgIMG_1642.jpg
I did some work on this kit I started working on the left arm for him since I am choosing this to be a german tank and tanks have hundreds of rivets that what I am planning on darling on to this thing. I first bought about 44 bags of RIVETS NUTS AND BOLTS from model hobby The was a good start but I quickly realized that in order for the bolts I ordered to work I would have to drill every single hole and that would get tedious not to mention I would have to make sure that everything is straight and lined. So I am only using those reivts on the ends of panels as a way to make them stand out, (i'm not sticking too hard to the history on this one, I mean I am having the imperial knight stand in as WW2 tank in the diorama this is going with so believability will be displaced).

What I chose to do instead of using glue to make rivets and such I bought this, I am using the O scale version of this it pairs nicely in scale. I decided with this model to glue pieces where movable parts go together first and them paint so as to not hinder the movability of this model. As you can sen in the model there is still mobility in this model ability kinda hard to move but then again once this model is placed in the diorama I'm not worrying about moving it too much. Anyway on to the rest of the model hope I don't go too crazy trying to make this one. Hope you like. (BTW this is the first step in trying to paint a german tank via this tutorial.
