My name is Michael, i am 23 years old and living in Bergen, Norway. I have always loved to create things with my hands. And I have always been fascinated by the armors of cosplayers. I have never been to a con but I have decided to go to one now in three months. For that occasion I have chosen to make a marine suit and a magnum gun. I am making the armor in EVA foam and the weapon is made out of styrofoam. I don't have any previous experience with these materials but I have made one other thing before. That was my fallout 3 helmet which I never really completed. So anyway here is the progress I have made so far! Let me know what you guys think!

I have now plasti dipped and painted the magnum gun. I am pretty happy about it although it could have been better. Tomorrow ill fill all the seams on my armor with silicone and sand them down. Here are some pictures:

Nice! The H3 marines are my favorite, just seem so awesome!

Thank you! I absolutely agree with you! :)

Update 2

Done some detailing on my helmet today. Still have a few more to add before it is ready for plasti dipping, but so far so good. I used small googly eyes as bolts. Im also gonna add a com microphone around the jaw area on one of the sides. Also gonna add a walki on the same side on the outside of the helmet. Here are some pictures:

Update 3

I am now done detailing the helmet and have now plasti dipped it twice more. I feel its starting to get the smooth finish im looking for. All that remains now is making a walki talki to mount on the side of the helmet and prime it and paint it. Here are some pictures:

Im wondering if i should use spray paint or acrylic paint to paint my armor. What do you guys think? Im thinking spray paint gives a much cleaner look,

Update 4

I have now plasti dipped the chest and back plate. I have also glued on the straps and the walki on the helmet and a microphone around the mouth area. Here are some pictures:

Update 9
I have been working on lighting up the display the last few days. I had originally settled for a display without lights, but i changed my mind. The circuitry for the light up display is now done and inserted into the MA5C. Its running on a 9V battery. Here are some pictures of the process:
