Are there any cons like DesignerCon that happen in Tx?

Hey guys! I just discovered DesignerCon and how its pretty much one HUGE artist alley. I was wondering if any events like this happen in Texas? (North Texas in particular) Thanks for your time!
 
Dallas Comicon and Fan Days geared toward Star Wars fans. Both were fun, and I believe still happen in Irving convention center . These were much better till they were sold a couple of years back to a major company. I've thought about starting one in Fort Worth Texas.
