Max and Furiosa cosplay

Hi!

I´ve been lurking here for a while for Max and Furiosa costumes.
Me and my wife wanted to make some other costumes after bunch of SW costumes. When we saw Fury road we decided to make Max and Furiosa for some cosplay event. Our deadline is at the end of this month, so let´s see what happends.
Because these are for cosplay we are not making 100% screen accurate.

Nice shotgun. I used the same one, tried to make it look more classic Road Warrior Max. What did you use for the release mechanism?

"My son from other parents, you are NOT unwanted! Just late found. I like also this hair style. Way more easy to handle." (says mom)

Jesuit24: I used existing one. Small knob in front of trigger guard. Works well. Have to add shells in barrels. I have plastic bag of used 12 gauge shells.

We will continue today with soft parts. My wife needs help for test fitting from our daughter and she is heading next week to CE3 with her boyfriend.
Anton: I hope you three won´t destroy whole London. Or even hotel! And greetings from your brother from other mother :cool

Some update:

My wife worked with Furiosa´s mockup trousers and "corset". Also she made Max´s shirt:

I made plywood/MDF copy for cosplay use of Max´s knife:

Also I "reloaded" .308 ammos.
First I shrinked the shell:

Then inserted bullet:

Looks fine for me:

I made the same shotgun out of the same toy! Actually, I had a friend do it. Mine looks more distressed.

Max is basicly ready, needs still weathering. Some more to go with Furiosa. Let´s se are these ready for next saturday.

Well, these doesn´t be ready for next saturday. Too much "real" work is harassing this project.

Everything here looks incredible. Max's leg brace looks amazing! I am in the process of making my own. I have the medical brace and am waiting for some ranger belts I found on line to get to me. I have been trying to figure out what the gold colored metal pieces are on the hinges (and also that tube with he cylinder attached on the bottom of the brace). Did you make them yourself or did you track them down. My gut is telling me they were probably from a vehicle of some kind given this is Mad Max and all. Any info you have would be of great help. Thanks!
