UPDATE 1/13/2016: Now available in 3 sizes: 1/18 scale (Hasbro Hero version), 1/24 (Studio Scale) ans 1/29 (Revell)

This run is for 1/24 scale X-Wing cockpit and pilot accurate to the 1:1 scale version as seen in “A New Hope”. The set consists of 3 parts – the cockpit, the pilot and a few small clear pieces that go on the cockpit and the pilot. The set is printed in SLA resin with 50nm resolution.

Top half of the fuselage shown is from Salzo v.4 kit. Mike was kind enough to allow me to use pictures of his kit together with the cockpit.

I am also working on 1/29 version of this cockpit that will fit into Revell 1/29 X-Wing. I expect it to be ready in 2-3 week. Please stay tuned for more updates in the near future.

The price for the full set is $85 plus shipping for 1/24 and 1/29 scale and $115 plus shipping for 1/18 scale for Hasbro.

Shipping cost is as follows:
USA and Canada - $15 flat rate with insurance and tracking number.
Overseas - $20 (no insurance, no tracking number) 2 weeks delivery, $45 (with insurance and tracking) 10 days guaranteed delivery.

Can it be printed with predrilled holes for fiber optics? The Salzo Galactica bridge at Shapeways was printed thgat way and it made my life so much easier.

It already has placeholders for the holes so the drilling should be a breeze.

I don't want to make pre-drilled holes because:
- Maybe someone won't want to do fiber optics
- Resin may clog the holes during printing if they are too small
- everyone uses different diameter fibers so pre-drilled ones may be too big

Should fit v.3 as well as it is essentially the same kit. Some fitting might be required as well as with v.4

IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR PEOPLE WHO PAID ME AND ARE WAITING FOR THEIR ITEMS TO BE SHIPPED:

Canada Post is going on a legal strike starting July 2nd, 2016. I am delaying shipping till next Monday to see if it really is the case. If it happens I will ship your package using a different courier, which will be more expansive but I will absorb the cost difference. As usual, some cutting, sanding and fitting is required to fit in the cockpit. The clear parts are not shown but will be included.

The 1/24 scale cockpits arrived yesterday. Two are for commission builds (Dao2) and one is for me. These are phenomenal !!! If you are on the fence questioning if you should get these, jump down off that fence as fast as you can and place your order. No really, why are you still reading, you should be ordering.

Unfortunately I don't own Hasbro vintage collection x-wing and can't really tell. If you could measure the canopy along and across (from the front side to to the back side and from left to right) I will check if the cockpit might possibly fit without up- or down-scaling.

Now available in 1/18 scale to fit Hasbro Hero 1/18 X-Wing. Because it takes much more resin to print this, the price is also a bit higher - $115 USD plus shipping.
