Fan Costume Support for the 2016 SDCC

Hi folks,

The CCI convention organizers and even a few exhibitors are asking if fan costumers can help out for the 2016 San Diego Comic-con International.

Gentle Giant Studios, Ltd (GGS)

So one call for help comes from GGS. They are looking for and offering the following:

• One to two hours appearances during any of the four days of the show.
• Volunteers would take breaks whenever needed.
• Water and changing area will be supplied
• Each costumer that works the booth will get one SDCC exclusive of their choice for free as a thank you gift

GGS is looking for characters from the following Marvel lines:

• X-men
• X-force
• Deadpool
• Avengers
• Guardians of the Galaxy

Kotobukiya

So the next licensee request, comes from Kotobukiya. They are looking for costumers for one hour blocks from anytime between 10 AM to 7 PM on Thursday through Saturday and 10 AM to 4 PM on Sunday of the show. In exchange, they will give such a volunteer a gift of their choice.

Some of the outfits that they are looking for include characters from the following lines:

• Marvel
• DC
• Halo
• Frame Arms
• Chucky
• Kill Bill
• Aliens

Comic-con International

So Comic-Con International would like help with press coverage on opening day, Thursday, July 21, and/or Friday, July 22, between the times of 6 AM to 9 AM. So while this is early, such volunteers get to be on television and possibly get to the view the exhibit hall without the huge crowds. Along with TV crews, any volunteers would be escorted by CCI staff to make sure you are taken care. CCI is just looking for good quality, family friendly outfits.

• Days and times you are available to appear (for CCI morning press coverage, please indicate if you want to help Thursday or Friday morning)
• One head-to-toe picture of yourself in your outfit.

You may post such information here on this thread, send me a PM or email at hco@avengershq.com by Monday, July 11. These organizations will look over applications and they will make the final decision on who they want to include.

Should you be accepted, you will need to have your own pass for the convention.

Damn, makes me want to cry....after two years of going as Captain America, I didn't get passes this year. Argh!!! If someone were to come up with a pass *legally*, I'd work those booths and have a blast doing so....
