Hi propmaker friends. Thanks for checking out my thread. You'll see these projects scattered about:
1:1 Vader
Graflex TFA (Korbanth)
Graflex ANH (Roman)
Bolsey Yoda
1:1 Jawa
TFA DL-44 (AW)
Down below is my documentation on the TFA Graflex:

Hello there.

This is my first serious build, so this is new to me. (My old Bladebuilders repaint got too much paint, so I scrapped it)

I will base this off the Hero version of the prop.

Ok, here are the parts.

G R A F L E X : Parks/Korbanth

Edge connector card: WannaWanga.com

Koblod Clip: towelkeeper (TFA run)

T-Track: stock 2.0 esb style

Glass eye to mill down: TGS

The box will be the hobby lobby box floating around, with some various greeblies, and other things inside.

Re: TFA Lightsaber / Box build

This will be a nice build, I have never compared Todd's T Track to Marv's, Roys, or any others. I only have a small piece of it from an ANH Han Solo Blaster.

Can't wait to see pics of your build, the Romans Graflex is going to be awesome.

Comparison of Todd T-track to Roy's and the screen used track. http://imgur.com/voME0ie

Yeah. Already gave Roman my order for one!

Re: TFA Lightsaber / Box build

I am very interested in seeing what greeblies you put in the box as well as what box you use. I thought that would be a great display tribute to TFA. Nice project and can't wait to see the results. Good luck, looking forward to it.

Re: TFA Lightsaber / Box build

Ordered the glass eye from SaberBay. Now all I need is a lathe to use to mill off the coin-edged knurling.

but seriously how can you do it?

Re: TFA Lightsaber / Box build

This isn't a TGS eye, this is a SaberBay. I don't you can put it into a drill.

and I also don't wanna mess it up, so maybe filing it by hand?

Re: TFA Outdoor Hero with Maz Kanata box build.

Update on nothing: I got some costume jewellery that will be perfect filler for the sides of the box.

Re: TFA Outdoor Hero with Maz Kanata box build.

Big update: bigger than the G R A F L E X itself!

I present to you:

THE MAZ BOX!

As I previously stated, it's the hobby lobby box. While I was there, I got some fake vintage jewelry, some fabrics, and etc. The greeblies are just the shroud and flash hood from my Abbey 2 Cell that is my budget droid caller.\

Sorry for the ROTStrosity that subs for the G R A F L E X. It's all I had on hand.

Re: TFA Outdoor Hero with Maz Kanata box build (PIC HEAVY) - MAZ BOX COMPLETE!

Did some accelerated aging on the latch and handles. Used bleach and vinegar.

This is how it started:

Right afterwards:

That's all for now. Check on it in a hour.

Re: TFA Outdoor Hero with Maz Kanata box build (PIC HEAVY) - MAZ BOX COMPLETE!

Ok. I did a lot of work, like rusting the screws. They were a pain in the rear end to clean, but I did. I also gave the thing a 2nd coat of rust.

Re: TIG's various prop projects

Looks like this is happening soon: ANH graflex. Based on a Roman's graflex.

Re: TIG's various prop projects

Lots of updates on the 1:1 jawa: got the robe all sewn up, dyed, and ready.
I also received a replica bandolier.
But, the floor was almost black. I have to re color it, so I tried soaking it in hot water.

And then I emptied the water, and am letting it soak this very second.
