1:1 Gandalf the Grey statue build

So far I have the face sculpt and will be sending it to get painted this week. Going with tech optics eyes as I usual do with all my builds. More to come as progress is made

I actually picked up the united cutlery Gandalf staff too. For a licensed prop they did an amazing job! I was more than pleased with it after seeing it in person
 
Did some hair work to Gandalf today. Got the eyebrows and beard applied. Hopefully I can knock out the hair this weekend

16 hours later I finally got all his hair laid. Still needs a haircut and some styling but I'm getting there

Lookin great. But there is some Saruman in there now... I guess it has to do with the hair. Once it's a bit more "wild", I guess Gandalf will come out there ;).

Thank you. You're right, I'm going to cut it and curl it slightly for the right look
 
I found a great hat maker on etsy, I was comparing hers to the stansborough licenced one and they were pretty close only the etsy version already comes with it formed along the brim and cringled at the top. Not bad for $60!

Lookin great. Maybe the beard and hair are still a bit too nice (also a bit too white, but I guess that's something that can't be changed anymore):

Thanks, yeah I'm going to curl the ends of the hair. Just haven't got around to it yet. Also Im going for Gandalf from LOTR, his hair was whiter than it was in the hobbit films
