Mass Effect Carnifex Build Pics

I built this out of layered eva foam. I used a Durhams and Elmer's mixture as a non-toxic filler (like Bondo without the cancer). I also installed some magnets in the grip for a magnetic holster. I stayed away from complicated electronics, like with my breather build, and instead focused on multi-layer paint and texture techniques.

I used 6 3/4" x 1/16" neodymium magnets in my jeans watch pocket and 2 inside the handle. It holds really well. It handled minor bumps in convention. I don't remember it falling off but it could easily be pulled away...And you could spin it while waiting in line. Good conversation starter.

I used plastidip on the handle and before it set, I sprinkled kosher salt and hit it with a light spray of more plastidip. Once it dries, I repeaded the process until it was the proper courseness in the grip...I think I did 3 layers for this grip.
