Strengthening latex mask with plaster bandage?

Hey there,

I have made a latex mask for a creature suit i'm making (my head isn't going to fit inside it). I need to stop the mask flopping about the place, I have polyfoam, but I live in Scotland and the cold weather is preventing the foam from curing. I have not de-molded the latex yet and was thinking I could layer plaster bandages/ burlap with plaster on the inside of the mask. Do you guys think this would work?

Thanks in advance :)

Latex dries out and decomposes over time and plaster absorbs moisture. I would think that having them in contact with one another would significantly shorten the life of the latex.
