This has been bubbling for over a year, maybe two? Any way, a little movement so I thought I would share. Thanks to Stinson, John Sabean, and Kip/Jeff, I will be able to easily make a pretty neat model of the McQuarrie Falcon in "studio scale". Got a 3D printer, and have been printing the "armature" for a week now as time allows. I'll have the dish, "mandible guns", cockpit, and turret gun grown at PCS by Jeff in high res, and everything else I will laser cut or scratch build. In flight, mounted on the bottom at the turret or the side "escape pod" (I haven't decided yet).

Oh lovely,.....looking forward to this......mine has stalled due to the hull curvature....maybe this will kick start me again

Do you have access to a 3d printer or laser cutter? I can send you a file with the curves John/Stinson generated... you can make spars like above!

Hey Jason mind if I have a copy of stinsons files. I have access to 3d printers although working on the 32" is a ways off for me. Figured planning for the future never hurts.

Mandibles are pretty much done. There's a few cut outs that I will add subtle greeblies to that are taped over, and I plan to add a little bit of something to the fronts of the mandibles. Quick coat of primer to see where I need to sand. Looks pretty clean though as a first pass. They toe in, of course but that iPhone camera sure likes to make it look like they don't ;)

Undersides have the half circles:
