Limited Run Rey Goggles (Made to Order) from The Force Awakens

Run #4 has shipped out!

After all the twists and turns, I believe this generation of my Rey Bans are the most accurate being made anywhere, and I'm proud to send them all out to you.

I am taking a break. I need to make a new mold for my clips, and I have some other projects to work on. So this run is OFFICIALLY CLOSED until further notice.

These new goggles have working lights with an external power source... which is screen accurate:

Zooming in on that picture reveals red and black wires coming from the flashlight and going into the goggles! So I've added this to my newest build V2.0

Here is a look at what the new battery case and wiring looks like:

These flashlights are powered by a single CR2032 button cell battery. The case has space for two, and you could use two if you like...but it runs fine on one.

Without bragging, these new V2.0 goggles are as close to screen accurate as I've ever come. Here is a side-by-side with one of the production used pairs:

Price is $125.00 USD. This includes your priority shipping within the US, as well as the new FUNCTIONAL side light.

Those on the waiting list need not pay at this time. Once Run #4 goggles have been shipped then I will begin Run #5, and will direct those on the wait list to send payment at that time.

Any of you who are overseas please get with me so that we can figure out your shipping costs. Anyone in the US will be a flat 10.00, which will pay for USPS Priority shipping.

These are hand made items, which I make one at a time. They will not all match. There will be variations in colour, shape, stitching, etc because they are individually hand made. this makes your set unique. I can't make each one exactly identical.

I'm thinking that they will run about $100.00. that is based mostly on what the raw materials cost... I'm not adding that much for labour. If demand is high enough i could look into making my own vac forming apparatus and therefore supply my own faceplates and lenses...that would significantly reduce cost. But as it sits now I have to buy those items...so it limits me.

I've heard from my faceplate supplier that he will be sending me 8 plates and I should have them by the end of this coming week.

Once I have all of my materials in hand I will update this thread to a project run, and will post a list with 8 slots.

Depending how the initial run goes (and if there is continued interest ) I may do a second.

I've added a waiting list to the above, that way I will be able to keep track of people who come on going forward to see if i have enough request for a second run.

I've solved my lens sizing issue... i negotiated a discount with the supplier that i had been buying my TK lenses from... i got a volume discount so now I can use the full size lenses.

My face plates *should* be showing up by the end of the week, so i can get started building goggles for all of you on the list. :thumbsup
