Mixing Leatehr/pleather and Cordura 500 question

Hi, I am working on planning out a Jacket for my costume (Booster Gold, but that is not important). I don't want to make the whole thing in leather, but I am not satisfied with the gold cordura options. So My plan is to make a predominately blue cordura 500 jacket with the gold elements in a gold pvc pleather. Anyone with more experience think that this will look ok? or have any suggestion on any alternatives. Any and all help will be much appreciated.

Are the gold elements appliqué or trim or are they like, panels of the coat? I've seen people use both vinyl and gold metallic spandex for appliqué and trim. For panels, have you tried gold leather?

The gold is going to be in panels. I have some gold leather sourced out. Just wanted to be sure that it is acceptable to mix leather and cordura

Anyone else have an answer for me?
