Palm Springs Comic Con Announced NOV 2016

Just found out Palm Springs will be having a comic con on November 19 & 20th this year. at the Saguaro Hotel......right in my own back yard !

Wow...not a peep out of anyone here since I posted this in Feb.......there must be a few here that are going.

I might be interested. Do you know if tickets are hard to get? I'm from the Temecula area, so it's a little bit of a drive

This is the first time a Comic Con is being tried here so I have no idea how this is going to go and there will be 2 Comic Cons ........one at the end of this weekend and one in Nov. I guess 2 competitors are seeing which one works out better. If you want to go to this weekends Comic Con....here;s their website already up:

If you want to attend this weekends event my suggestion is go to their website and buy whatever ticket fits your needs..There are several choices. Since I live here and only want one day I'm choosing the one day option since I have no interest in panels or getting autographs and just want to look thru the dealer room. If you look on their website some options are already sold out but those are mostly special meet and greet autograph options. Be aware some options are a lot more money if purchased at the door...assuming it hasn't been sold out. Frankly I find some options a might pricey but it looks to be well attended. If you have any trouble let me know and I can see what I can find out.

Again I have no idea how good or bad these will turn out till I attend one but my gut feeling is this weekends Comic Con might be better since its being held at a convention hall in a larger building instead of a hotel hall in Nov. My other gut feeling is how well either one will do given the months they will be debuting them. I'm attending both to check them out since I'm hoping one of them blossoms into a huge event here and gives me a less nightmare & stressful time then the monster they created in San Diego. Keep in mind San Diego Comic Con started out I think in the Scottish Rite Hall in San Diego.......least that's when I started going. So lets hope for the best.....judging from their website...this weekends looks promising.

P.S. Trust me ...Temecula isn't a huge drive.....approx less than 90 mins thru Hemet and thru the pass to Beamount then to the 10 Fwy right into Palm Springs .....unless you're going by horseback.
