As usual: “sorry for my English its not my native language”
Few YEARS passed since my first post, unfortunatelly in past I did not have enough time to post my works, but nowdays i hope i`ll do it more recently and will post my old works too.
This time it will be my last work, finished about 2 weeks ago - craft parts for Deadpool costume.
I`ve started it few months ago (there was no hurry because deadline was first run of the movie in cinema) thats why some moments are not accurate, there was not enough info in that time.
But, anyway, costume is ready and here how it was made:
Knife holster:

I used simple training knife, in that tome there was no clear info what kind of knife they used, so this one was qute good.
First i made main PVC form, then formed "cover" over it, trimm all excess and painted with flat black with rubber paint finish.
Now i know that original holster almost not have "pointy" end, but in that time bottom parts of holster was not shown at photos.
Gun holsters:

Same as knife holsters, but for base was used gun itself. Form, trimm, rubber-paint finish. I deside to make rubber finish on bough (knife and gun) holsters, and it was mistake because now we know that gun holsters have "carbon" finish. You can make it of kydex with carbon finish, but in my case its very hard to find it in my country, so PVC is cheaper alternative and if you prefer you can cover it with car film with "carbon" effect.

Also important moment: first i made holster mounts for regular 5 cm belt, but in new poster we can clearly see that mounts has different shape and didnt even fits the sling, just fixed over it somehow. I think it was made to avoid "thrusting out" fabric in mount part (othere wise they nee second belt on top of fabric part). So i decide to make new mounts as shown on picture and fix them permanently.
Guns:

In our country we still can take airsoft guns to con`s without orange plugs and any labels, thats why i prefer to modify even bought toy guns to make them act and look more like real ones... (1st photo on the right inner part modified) I took away all "firing" parts, replace barrel with wider one and add extra weight to the barrel (then "gun" is balanced more like real one for me it feels more comfortable and realystic in motion). Also cheap toys have plenty of screws on one side, so i moved them to another place and fill holes (on second photo you can see bigger barrel and covered holes) . After painting i also add some dirt and scratches (3rd picture show difference between silver paint and finished look)
Buckle:

The hardest part was make accurate dome shape for two main parts, everything else is simple, cut, sand, prime, cold cast, paint and gluing parts together.
First i thought (as many who start to make buckles reffering to first photos) that silver parts in center has round shape, but in new photos we can see that is is more complicated and rised over black part.
Katanas:

I took two souvenir katanas, throw away not needed parts (on 1st photo only 3 bottom parts needed) , engrave the handle, made new guard using 5mm aluminum sheet and finish with rubber paint.
During disassemble i broke blade (on 1st photo steel rod on the right from guard is piece that was in handle) because it was permanently glued in handle (my previous katana was just screwed together) but anyway you need make it shorter (because movie version is shorter than "real" one), so you just need to trim part of blade and make new hole for it in handle.
Katanas holster:

It was made of PVC, you can disassemble it in 4 parts for transportation as shown on 2nd picture. On the third photo you can see how it mounts using 2 screws. After mounting on the back you hide them with cover with magnets to fit it in place (on 3rd photo magnets not attached yet).

The hardest part was figure out how it mounts to costume i`ve started with photo where we can see costume without katanas and there is 2 botls on the back, then i found low quality picture where part of holster was missing, that time i thought it was "broken"... but then someone post picture where we can see holster without top part and two knobs right in the place where bolts on costume are... so i`m pretty sure that they used same system with 2 bolts and cover on magnets.
Finaly, photo of all components, another one with happy customer in cosume and also video with dressing up all costume...
(unfortunatelly i dont have photos of making costume but if anyone will be interested in it i`ll try to ask them and will post them here)

PS: video was shoot for our customer, so it has comments in russian, but i think that it is not hard to guess whats going on there
And thanks for reading!
