Mr. Wink Bust

So I decided that this was the year that I would finally make a Mr. Wink bust. That's something I've been wanting to do for awhile. So far I have about an hour, hour and a half into to it. I decided that I would use some water clay this time to speed up the process, and so far I'm liking it. It is so much faster creating and modding forms.

And here are some pics from my second sculpting session last night:

I'm still debating on whether I should make this a silicone bust, or a resin bust. Also for anyone who has done this before, what did you do for eyes? I'm planning on using a bearing to hold the place for his eye, I'm just not sure if everyone just painted a bearing, or knew of any small eye forms for busts that would give you a real look.

Had a chance to get a little more time in on Mr. Wink. I think the face is finally starting to look right. I'm not sure if the ball bearing eye I'm using at the minute is quite big enough though. Hope I can get around to getting all the forms down so I can begin smoothing this week.

Haven't been able to get much progress in on Mr. Wink, thanks to rearranging my workshop. But I was able to start some very basic texturing. Now to deside on the final position of his mouth before going any further.

Thanks Ron Tin Tin. Finally got back around to working on ol' Winky. I think I have most of the forms locked in. I still need to make a palate to hold the teeth, and also finish the second horn, but it's getting there. Now I just need to decide if I want to just paint the lower part of the bust to look like leather, or to use some actual leather for the finished product.

Think I'm getting pretty close to molding here. I'll be adding on the ears when I'm within a day or two of molding, just to make sure they don't dry out to quickly. I decided to go with some real leather for the bottom of the bust.
