Gallifrey One -27- 2016

Thought I'd do a quick post-up, see who else is going and who's looking forward to what John and Julian (yes, and others... but really....) have got to say, should be a great weekend!

Wife, as ever, is running Iron Costumer, this year on Friday and a bit early: 12-130 I think (was scheduled for 1230-2, but got a bump). You probably don't want to miss this one.... (and if you want to be part of, you're only going to have til 11 to sign on for the mayhem)

The Wife is running IC again this year, as mentioned above. And so...:

As ever, I'm accepting donations to "The Pile" - fabric, trim, even old sewing patterns. If it's cluttering up your craft space and you don't mind putting it in your suitcase, bring it to the con and we'll find a use for it!
Signups for the event start at 9am on Friday at the masquerade desk until the slots fill up - which is pretty much immediately, if past years are any indication. Because of that, competitors may only sign themselves up - no signing up your buddies, too, as that's a short-cut to bad feelings.
You can drop off donations to The Pile at the masque table during the sign-up period, or bring them to the event room between 11:30 and 11:50, while we're setting up.
Also as per last year, there will be an informal meetup on Sunday night (post-closing ceremonies) for folks to claim leftovers. This year, though, donors to "The Pile" (and the Iron Costumers) will get first access! Make sure I have your room number (or preferred contact info) so I can share the details once finalized.
PS, if I had to specify things The Pile needs, I would say large scraps of funky fabric (2+ yards), cotton spools of any color and dual-temperature mini-glue sticks. No paint or glitter, please!
