I have been avoiding the Rogue One thread so that photo is the first piece of info I've ever seen ...

... Holy Heck, that's Donnie Yen!
If I see him get his hands on a lightsaber I will die happy in this lifetime.

... Holy Heck, that's Donnie Yen! That earns spot #2 for me. Donnie Yen in Star Wars .... OMFG. If I see him get his hands on a lightsaber I will die happy in this lifetime.

That was released back at Celebration. There are no spoilers in that thread. :)

Thanks for that release timetable Vivek!! Now they've redesigned the Empire site that info is harder to come by .

(1) Suicide Squad -just because a cast of bad guys doing good appeals to me and I haven't a clue about the story overall. Oh and Harley Quinn!
(2) Captain America Civil War- because "The Winter Soldier" was brilliantly written and unpredictable and tops my Marvel list.
(3) Deadpool- This will either just perfectly nail it or miss it by a mile for me. Reminds me a bit of "Kingsman", I thought I might hate it but thoroughly enjoyed it instead.
(4) Dr Strange- I remember seeing the old seventies adaptation of this on TV once and really enjoyed the premise back then, so the update should be terrific.
(5)= Rogue One- Intrigued by the story because we all were back in the seventies but I'm not going to put this top. Not yet.
X men; Apocalypse - Because DOFP was so well done, and this could be absolutely spectacular

Looks like a very strong year again with plenty to see!!

Top 3 for me:

- Captain America Civil War (Big fan of Cap and Iron Man)
- Rogue one (who doesn't like Star Wars!?)
- Warcraft (Used to play the game when it came out, but i'm wondering if the movie will live up to the game :unsure)

1 DEADPOOL!!!!! (how would anyone guess?)

2 Dawn of Justice (though am dreading this possible "doomsday" origin)

2 Assassins Creed

I am starting to get bored with all these superhero action movies. Deadpool is an exception cause I am a huge Deadpool fan, so am eager to see what they have done for their first R-rated marvel movie. The rest of them are too much the same,

"The world is going to end... but lets do this alone"

or

"Something might be happening somewhere that might be bad.... SEND THE ENTIRE AVENGERS TEAM OUT RIGHT NOW!!!!!"

Plus they are taking far too many liberties with the source material... I mean come on Hank Pimm created Ultron NOT Tony Stark.... It's not like source material is hard to find for this.... When they start getting things right I might be happier with it but till then the whole MU is getting stupid. All I see on the screen is ....

EXPLOSIONS!!!!!! THINGS!!!!!! INCONSISTENCIES!!!! MORE THINGS!!!!! SUPER HERO TEEN ANGST!!!!! EXPLOSIONS!!!! CREDITS!!!!!

Am going to see Dawn of Justice, just to see where they are going with it. Although if it turns out that Zod is going to be turned into Doomsday (trailer kinda makes it look that way)... the entire DC universe they are creating is dead to me. That is just far too much of an inaccuracy for me. and I cannot trust them to remain true to actual source material any further. Doomsday is Doomsday NOT FRIGGIN ZOD! I will walk out the cinema if that happens.

Assassins Creed... I have been a fan of the franchise since the beginning, and Ubisoft have control over the movie, it was a part of their clause so it should hopefully not be a usual game-to-movie crap-fest.

Lots of geek-tastic content coming in 2016, hard to choose. I picked Dr. Strange simply because from a visual and storytelling standpoint, this is completely new territory for Marvel and the more material they release, the more I get excited for the film. Also hard to overlook that Cumberbatch is absolutely PERFECT for Stephen Strange, I really think he's going to own this role like RDJ is Tony Stark.

Civil War is must-see for sure but we have a fairly good idea of what to expect. Rogue One is also must-see but it's out of continuity in the ST and we sorta already know the outcome, kinda takes the wind out. If this poll was from last summer I would've picked BvS, but the more I see from this film, the worse it looks :cry I'm already chalking that one up to be the biggest disappointment of 2016.

Rogue one without a doubt is my number one most anticipated. The fact we're even getting Star Wars films in the first place seems to be taken for granted by a lot of people.

Deadpool and Doctor Strange are close, but I'd say two and three respectively.

Civil War has number four because why not.

Batman V Superman has an honorary mention at number 6. There is no number 5.

Jeez Louise… And I thought 2015 was a good year to be a nerd.

1. Captain America: Civil War
2. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (Cautiously optimistic.)
3. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
4. X-Men: Apocalypse
5. Deadpool

Thanks to all who voted in. The current final votes are as follows.

1. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story - 17

2. Captain America: Civil War - 13

3. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice - 9

4. Deadpool - 4

5. Suicide Squad, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them - 2
