So my new project is old Ash from Ash vs Evil Dead, iv been thinking about if for a while and now is the time, got myself a Homelite Super 2 and some parts from Rob who used to make the Chainsaw hands over at evil dead chainsaws he was a real help and a great guy :D
ive not done too much yet but iv got the motor out and now need to either grind it or maybe try to cast the block to mount the bar and chain (something ive never done :confused)
but i really don't know which way to go with it yet?
so here's some pics of bits ive got or got ordered.

thats about it for now, hope the weather this winter is kind enough so i can do this thing quickly lol

That looks awesome. I am looking for something close to that. Doesn't have to be screen accurate but something that looks good.

What is the harness called?

Thanks, It's a custom harness I made from webbing and a belt I found in a store, I just watched the show a lot and paused the Blu-ray for screen grabs :)

So I've been on and off making the chainsaw hand but it was more off than on :lol
But today I finally cut the handle off and then 3 hours later it looked like this

More progress today, painted up the toy shotgun for the boom stick and made a scabbard from scratch from card stock and faux leather, came out better than I thought it would I think?

Making some more progress on the Hand now, it's goi g slower than I would like but it's starting to look something like it should now.

I've also made room for a Battery for the red switch

Wow, this is awesome :) can't believe I missed it, love the work on the glove, something I'd like to give a go at some point, I was following the thread that was trying to ID the parts but nothing's really come of it :-/

Done some more today, added the bolt from inside the glove to the plate on the hand, try that with stubby sausage fingers in a small space that you can't see!
Got the switch wired up so it turns on and off and the big buckle with strap on the cuff as well, the block I made is not ideal but once the hasp and other things are attached I don't think I will notice anymore
