After some consideration I have decided make my build using Randy Cooper's parts.

I started with building the frame to hold the shell with all the part upgrades. First I made it out of cardboard to make sure it fits in all the holes on the shell.

The metal tubes for the front lighting are actually AEG barrels I didn't need

For the landing lights I am using smaller 4mm tubing

Thank you very much for all the good feedback! I finally have an update. I was able to get access to a 3D Printer and print all the maintenance pits I have designed.
This are the finalized maintenance pits/bays in 3D:

Gus, did you base your parts on a specific MF version or are they your own interpretations?

I agree on the randy cooper upgrades, those are what I plan to use as well. Your maintenance pits look awesome. I might have to add those to my list of additional upgrades.
