Kilgrave Cosplay WIP - Jessica Jones (David Tennant)

Anyone have any luck finding the tie?
Nothing yet in my searches. From what I can tell, it seems like the patterned shapes on the tie are very similar in shape to some of the flora on the shirt, but I haven't found any purple ties from the same PS Byard line that look anything like it. I'm going to try to get some better screenshots of it.

For now, I ended up going with these tie and pocket square alts from TheTieBar.com:

The screen-worn pocket square in this scene does appear to have some kind of purple pattern on it, but the "dots" are very spread out and not like a typical polka dot or otherwise geometric pattern, so I decided to do a solid one for now, since at least the "aquamarine" color seems to match pretty well.

The costumer has told me on twitter that Kilgrave wears two different polka dot waistcoats in the show, and that one is a Paul Smith and the other is a Ted Baker. Can't find anything more about it online but I thought I'd share

Nice! Now why didn't I think of that? XD I just asked her if she can give us any insight on the tie, too.

The police station tie is a Paul Smith I believe, but that's all the info I have.
I *think* it's a Ted Baker tie (as is the boat tie). I'm like 75% sure I identified it. It's hard to tell because of the lighting but every nuance of the tie I bought matches what I can see from the stills minus certain colouring effects that I think are being drowned out by the outfit and lighting. Hopefully whoever contacted the costumer gets an answer soon tho! :-D

Could you maybe post a photo of your tie? We can help ID it if you're uncertain

It's not that I'm uncertain per se, but I'd like to get proof from the costumer. I think the lighting of both ties make it impossible to be 100% sure. That being said, here is a side by side

Would anyone be interested in this tie:

The original has been sourced, so we should be able to replicate it pretty accurately...
I want to know if you'd make a run of the Sin Bin shirt, which is the blue/black digital camo shirt made by Paul Smith? I have the short sleeve version if you need something to duplicate from. The shirt worn here :

Doing a run of custom shirting cotton is a BIG job. We only consider doing those when there is a large demand, such as with our Joker Shirt or Casino Royale Madagascar Shirt. For other shirts, the best option might be to scan your PS shirt, and upload it to Spoonflower so you can print your own cotton. Then that can be shipped to us to make a shirt. This is what we did for our Joker Heist Shirt: http://www.magnoliclothiers.com/joker-heist-shirt-shirts-p-581.html

Ahh gotcha. The Sin Bin shirt is actually textured, it's not a straight up cotton shirt. So, I imagine that may have been difficult as well. Thanks for the reply tho! :-D

Yesterday was a good day! The tailoring was finished on my alt shirt so it now fits perfectly, and I received my alt tie and pocket square from The Tie Bar!

Here are some of the cool nuances of the shirt (by Stone Rose) - a purple/burgundy strip of corduroy fabric beneath the collar and cuffs, purple buttons, and just some close-ups of the flora.

Aquamarine pocket square and "speckled" eggplant tie from The Tie Bar.

The three together. All in dim lighting - from left to right: no flash, HDR, flash.

And finally, a little sneak peek ;) The lighting sucks as it was night-time and my interior lights in my house are not super bright - but I was too excited to NOT take a picture :) Once my PS purple suit arrives, I think the whole outfit is gonna look stellar! The suit should hopefully be arriving within the next day or two, so expect more photos real soon!

Also, if anyone is interested, I put up my Kilgrave Hair Tutorial on my Youtube channel : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCTRfUncwCk

I've seen that Ted Baker tie and considered buying it. It's REALLY close but I don't think it's accurate. The police station tie is DEFINITELY purple, and I'm not convinced there's any contrasting colors in the medallions.
