best options to build the bvs suit display base?

I'm looking to build the display base from the BvS trailer that holds the suit and was considering wood but was interested in any other maybe better options for it the base and the pattern that is. I have found a perfect mannequin and have a great suit on its way i just need the display to do it full JUSTICE (pun intended) thanks.
