Underworld Lycan Costume

Hey all!

I have wanted one of these for quite a long time and now that I have a few hours a week to myself i have managed to get back to the sculpt. Apart from a chest burster i have never really done organic, just helmets. I hope to cast the head in silicone and the body in foam latex. The body will be started in Feb.

When first laying the clay to get very very basic shapes

primary forms done and starting on the secondary forms.

Great to see that you're creating "William" and also a fellow "Lycan" coming to life and so looking forward to seeing him progress....I am absolutely loving your head sculpt!

Progress is slow, I generally get to work on it from midnight till 3am or so for 3 nights out of every 10.

I am still trying to learn techniques but I am almost finished the big wrinkles and shapes on the left side and will start the right then will start the other detail work. I am exaggerating some folds so that they can still be seen even when painted and haired.

Progress is slow but started practicing the detail (pores, minor wrinkles etc). Still learning but getting there

Realized I never posted the finished head (the teeth will be done after the first cast is done).

Next step is molding and casting my arms for the hands/forearms to be sculpted.

Got some casts done, silicone and resin. i wont have time to complete the suit until next year but hope to start the hands in august followed by legs

I am indeed, have the reverse leg stilts all ready to go.

I have 4 months left to finish this. Head is molded and test casts done. Arms are almost done (another 5 or so hours left in them) then the feet and body (in WED clay for speed)

Thanks Stig.

Started on the legs ....well the feet and shins to cover the base of the stilts and the rest will be part of the body sculpt. Feet done in WED clay (first time sculpting in it, love it) , no detail work started yet just forms mainly and tested skin texture.

Thanks, hope to finish the legs and hands fully an get them molded before the end of the month and get started on the body. Give myself Dec for painting and hair work.

Small update, molding hands and lower legs then onto the body sculpt..less than 2 months to finish, cast , paint and hair. I also ended up re doing the hands/arms around the forearms and I think they came out alot better.

This has not come to a halt

Have the entire suit molded and starting casting next week, but of course had to do some heads first

Will do a full write up once I get the suit cast and finished.
