Captain America armor v2.

I've been procrastinating lately lol. But after being sick and painting a bit I have a new stride to get it finished. It sucked went through the entire house. Tis the season I suppose. Hopefully next post will be of the entire suit battle damaged.

Ok need some advice and opinions.
Here is the helmet battle damaged up I was planning on going back with the air brush and dulling down the armor and adding more grunge to it with black around borders and throughout the helmet I have this planned for all the pieces but I'm wonder if I do that would it be to much or not look right. Thoughts?

I still plan on doing it with the boots and gauntlets since the black and silver would pop a little more on those. Thanks

Oh and I do think around the white parts I'll add the black to give them some added detail.

All the armor has had the scratched just need to use the airbrush to finish up the detail and battle damage.

And after airbrush. Kinda went a little crazy with it but I think it turned out good.

Will do a full suit up later tonight.

Did a suit up but was alone so the pictures didn't turn out that great. This thing can be a pain to get in by yourself. There is some adjusting and gluing that needs to be done anyway. And I need to get a new under armor white shirt, the gauntlets army closing as good with the white shirt I have now. I hope to make all adjustments and maybe get started on the punches for the belt so I can show a better suit up.

The belt is all put together. I just have to seal it and paint now. I'm very happy with the way it turned out, especially since it was my first attempt at one.
I'm also working on a new handle system for my shield but no pictures of that yet. Thanks for looking.

I love this one! The scarring and paint is excellent - I like to see costumes well-weathered, especially armor. And the belt looks very cool. Will the belt fit over the ab section or just under it?

Thank you. It's all made of a variety of different thicknesses of foam. I've used foam floor mats, craft foam sheets and one really big foam roll.

After seeing the pictures with the torso and belt, I have to say the white looks really good. Maybe keeping the majority of the belt white and detailing in blue or red would be really cool.

That's a really good idea. I was thinking of painting it brown but wasn't to excited about that color. So I may play around with a different color scheme. Thanks for the suggestion.

Since I'm snowed in today I hope to start sealing the belt.

Well not much to look at but I did manage to get the belt sealed and dipped. I've decided on a color scheme and I should be painting by this weekend.
